As soon as we are all packed,

I’ll show you how to fill your water gun.

We can also call it “loading” your gun.

First, let’s fill upour bucketwithsome water.

首先，我们往桶里接一些水。

It’s hard to fill up the water gun in a shallowplace like the kiddy pool.

在儿童池这种浅的地方 很难给水枪灌水。

You need depthso you can stick your water gun in enough

你需要足够的深度，才能把水枪插进去，

to get all the water you need.

抽到你所需要的水。

Child: What do I do with it?

宝宝：我要怎么做呢？

Mom: Set the bucket down ona flat and stable surface.

妈妈：把桶放在一块又平又稳的地方。

You don’t want it totip overand spillall the water.

你可别把它打翻，把水洒出来。

Child: Can I holdthe water gun now?

宝宝：我现在可以拿水枪了吗？

Mom: Yes. Now hold it vertically, or up and down.

妈妈：嗯。现在把它竖着拿起来，也就是上下拿。

Keepthe handle pointed towardsthe sky

让手把的地方朝向天空，

and the point of the guntowards the ground.

枪口朝向地面。

Put the endof the gun in the bucket and keep it there

把水枪的末端放进桶里，一直放在那儿，

while you pullthe handle up.

然后拉起水枪把手。

This bringswaterintothe gun.

这样水就被吸进水枪里了。

Child: How does that bring water into the gun?

宝宝：为什么这样水就能进入水枪里呢？

Mom: When we pull the handle,

妈妈：当我们拉起水枪把手，

the suctionpulls water into the empty barrel of the gun.

吸力会把水吸到空的枪管里。

Then, when we pushthe handle back in,

然后，当我们推回枪把手的时候，

it creates pressure,

它会产生压力，

which shootsthe water back out ofthe gun.

就会把水从水枪里射 出来。

Looks like your water gun is fully loaded!

看起来你的水枪装满了！

Why don’t you give it a try?

Child: Watch out!

宝宝：小心！

Mom: Remember, don’t swingit aroundpeople

妈妈：记得不要在人群中甩来甩去，

and only hold it horizontallywhen you are ready to shoot.

你准备射击的时候，再水平地拿着它。

We don’t want to hit anybody with the gun.

我们不想拿水枪打到任何人。

If you angle it up towardsthe sky,

如果你让它朝向天空，

you can make the water go further.

你可以让水射得更远。

Very good!

很好！

I’m going to fill mine.

我要给我的水枪装水了。

You betterwatch out.

你最好小心一点。

I’m a good shot!

我可是个好射手哦！

Shot除了有发射的意思，还有射手的意思。

Child: Let the battlebegin!
